Patient Stories
  • Anton
    Homeless individual
Anton severely frostbitten two fingers during winter. Intense pain prevented him from walking normally. Without proper documentation, hospitals refused admission. Through a rehabilitation center, he found his way to us. Our volunteer surgeon took action, while donors provided necessary bandages. Gangrene was halted successfully. Today, Anton leads a healthy lifestyle, works as a parking lot security guard, and expresses gratitude for everyone's support.
  • Elena
    Homeless individual
Elena lived on the street until she suffered severe burns trying to stay warm near a pipe. She never had a passport or birth certificate. We initially treated her wounds and collaborated with the Ministry of Health to admit her into a burn unit where volunteers closely monitored her recovery.Additionally, through the Migration Service, Elena quickly obtained her first official documents including a new passport.
  • Marina
    In a difficult situation
Marina resides at a social center due to personal circumstances. She cares for homeless individuals by preparing meals and providing emotional support. Despite this, she suffers from complex vascular diseases leading to chronic leg ulcers. We're raising funds for Marin's vein operation but continue to manage her wounds weekly with cleanings and medication distributions, ensuring her morale remains high.
  • Gennady
    Homeless individual
Due to prolonged homelessness and frequent frostbite episodes, Gennady developed deep venous thrombophlebitis followed by massive leg ulcers. He experienced intense pain, foul odors, and continuous discharge, preventing him from working part-time jobs or residing in rehab centers. Several months of comprehensive therapy resulted in wound closure, enabling Gennady to resume employment and live at a shelter.
