About us
Our mission is to guarantee equitable access to healthcare for all individuals regardless their social status or place of residence.
Healthcare for all. Any background. Anywhere.
My name is Evgeny Kosovskikh,or simply Doctor Zhenya, founder of Charitable Hospital project.

Originally I trained as a veterinarian and I spent 10 years working as a veterinary surgeon, anesthesiologist, and critical care specialist in private clinics.
However, my desire to study human medicine and help people prevailed.
Plus I’m not cut out for the money side of things – I find it difficult to put a price on helping others.

So, I enrolled in medical college. Like all students, I completed my clinical internships at hospitals and clinics. Back then, homeless people were not welcomed there: they were treated rudely, given low priority, and sometimes even kicked out into the freezing cold.

I remember how painful it was to witness this.
That's when I decided to change the attitude towards homeless people: I started talking to them, letting them into my building's hall to warm up, and treating their wounds.

I began sharing stories about the lives of homeless people in Chelyabinsk and the support they truly need on my VK media platform.
My friends actively joined the cause, then volunteers came on board, and together we started visiting places where homeless people often seek shelter (heating tunnels and utility spaces) to help everyone we could.

That's how Charitable Hospital began and it continues to thrive to this day. We value every person we serve, every volunteer, and every doctor on our team.

We do what we do with love!

  • Raising public awareness that people living on the streets deserve respect and compassion

Our Achievements

Charitable Hospital became the first project in the history of the Ural region to deliver medical care directly on the streets.

Our team was honored with the State Award of the Russian Federation — the Honorary Badge "For Good Deeds".

We are loved and supported by our followers who donate and actively help the project grow.

Our beneficiaries have become more attentive to their own health.

The project has successfully helped homeless individuals reintegrate into society.

Our work is regularly featured in regional and federal media outlets.

A biographical book titled Charitable Hospital was published by Moscow Eksmo Publishing House with a print run of 3,000 copies.

Inspired by our example, volunteers in other cities now provide similar street-based medical assistance.

Charitable Hospital serves as an expert speaker at international conferences on protecting the rights of homeless individuals.
